Futurefarmers
Roots

The Californian group led by Amy Franceschini, Futurefarmers, has been from its foundation in 1995 one of the essential creative forces to understand the creative evolution of the Web. From their commercial design projects to the artistic initiatives that they've supported, like "Antiwar Game" or the historical "They Rule", their legacy has been one of the most persistent influences on the international new media scene, as "Harvest", the book that compiles their trajectory, testifies.
In the last few years Futurefarmers have moved away from digital design and have reoriented their activity in a radical way in the reflection on the effects technology has on environment, and to propose new models in which we can collaborate with nature, instead of trying to replace it. Their latest projects work to awaken the consciences of citizens to evolve from riotous consumption towards sustainability.
