From his base in calm Kyoto, the prolific Takagi Masakatsu (music, live visuals for musicians such as Cornelius and Ryuchi Sakamoto, motion designer) has become one of the great rising names in the international live AV scene. This is not surprising, it is extremely difficult to forget his particular style once you have seen it. In his video-paintings, Masakatsu transforms sequences of video shot around the world -after intensive postproduction- into visions of a dreamed universe, intensely lyric and full of melancholy; like a stroll past lost images of the childhood. On the OFFF stage, Takagi will unfold all the emotional load of his work on a piano and three screens.
