Simplicity: What does it mean?
Roots

The enormous legacy of John Maeda as designer, artist, professor and researcher designates him one of the fundamental historical figures of interaction design and digital art. His vision of the artist able to speak the native language of the computer -the code- has inspired complete generations of young creators such has his brilliant disciples: Golan Levin, Casey Reas or Ben Fry; his Reactive Books and the Nature series were definitive in the introduction of software in the great spaces of the world of the contemporary art. In his new book “Laws of Simplicity”, Maeda offers a master class on zen to survive the information overload and saturated technological world that we have built. His presence is a feather in the cap for OFFF 2007.
